As “Giants” prepares to depart Minneapolis, The Forum, Mia and Playfessionals invite you to gather one final time to honor their presence and revel in the legacy they represent. This night is for the visionaries, the vibemakers, the policy shapers, the poets, and the people who know that our future is written in community.
Inside the majestic halls of Mia, we’ll blend art, ancestry, music, and movement—an evening that feels like both a reunion and a launchpad. Whether you’re there to connect, reflect, or simply enjoy the moment, your presence is part of the constellation.
Throughout the night, enjoy immersive soundscapes, artistic activations, curated conversation, and Afro-diasporic flavors that speak to legacy and liberation. Together, we’ll pause to honor the stories that brought us here—and name what we’re carrying forward.
Come dressed in your flyest cosmic drip, ancestral elegance, or whatever makes you feel like stardust and legacy combined.
What to Expect
5:00 PM – Arrival + Community Gathering
Doors open to a curated soundscape and stunning visuals. Step into a space designed for deep joy, reconnection, and inspiration with Shu Universe (DJ Willie Shu) providing the soundtrack).
6:00 PM – Welcome and Remarks
Quick remarks by the Playfessionals, AALF, and Mia team.
6:30 PM – Collective Celebration Continues
Mingle, connect, and create. Enjoy artistic expressions, flavorful bites, and soulful music as the evening unfolds into a space of community, reflection, and joy.
7:00 PM – Limited Final Guided Tour of “Giants”
Experience “Giants” through an intentional, culturally grounded lens—led by a dynamic guide who brings the legacy to life. *There is a maximum of 30 participants for the Giants Guided tours.*
8:00 PM – Final Orbit
We close the night with rhythm, laughter, and a shared sense of purpose—surrounded by brilliance, legacy, and each other.
